Tours
There are TWO ways for general visitors and tour groups to visit the Old North.
 

(1) Freedom Trail Drop–In
Everyone is welcome to explore the Old North for a voluntary donation that helps support our preservation and education mission. Visitors are seated in the church's box pews to hear a brief 7–10 minute presentation by our staff Guides on the history of Old North highlighting the founding of the church, items of architectural interest, and the role of the Old North in the American Revolution.

 
RESERVATIONS ARE NOT TAKEN for the Freedom Trail Drop–In. Our Guide staff is available to speak to groups and answer questions at ANY TIME during our regular visitor hours. You WILL NOT receive any confirmation if you contact us concerning the Freedom Trail Drop–In. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you!
 
The Old North is not a publicly funded landmark; we suggest a voluntary donation of at least $1 per person for the Freedom Trail Drop–In. Thank you for supporting our preservation and education work!
 

(2) Behind the Scenes Tour
The Behind the Scenes tour offers a more in-depth view of the Old North and new information about its history. The tour takes visitors into the Church's second-floor gallery, up to the bell ringing chamber in its steeple where a teenage Paul Revere worked as a bell ringer, and down into the crypt where 1,100 bodies are buried.

 

For families and small groups, Behind the Scenes tours are offered hourly on weekends in June, daily from July 1st through October 12th, and the week between Christmas and New Year's.

• Tickets for this special tour are $8 for adults, $6 for students/seniors/military, and $5 for children 16 and under.
• Individual tickets for regularly scheduled tours are available at the Old North Gift Shop or you may Purchase Behind the Scenes Tickets Online.

Large Groups of 8 or more are encouraged to schedule tours in advance and may schedule tours year-round. Group discounts are available. Tours that are not regularly scheduled must be booked a minimum of one month in advance.

Provide your name, the date and time you would like to schedule your tour, the size of your group, and contact information. You WILL receive a call or email confirming your Behind the Scenes tour. You DO NOT have a reservation until we have confirmed arrangements.
